In this article, we'll walk you through the Consultant Search.
Searching for consultants when you need them is not new. Searching for them before you need them and knowing that their profiles are up to date is important. Better than knowing our professionals self-manage their data, is your ability to request a refresh.
With Oomple Copilot's Consultant Search, you can leverage the power of filters and search strings. We enable you to search a consultant's profile and uploaded documents.
There are two primary methods for finding candidates within Oomple CoPilot: Boolean Search and Oomple Simple Search.
Boolean search is an information retrieval technique that enhances search queries by incorporating keywords with operators like AND, OR, and NOT. These operators aid recruiters in specifying relationships between different search terms, enabling more precise and targeted searches.
NOTE: In Oomple CoPilot, Boolean search takes precedence over simple search as the primary filtering option, with Simple Search available to further refine Boolean results.
Basic Boolean Operators:
AND: Narrows down search results by requiring all specified terms to be present. For example, "Java AND Python" fetches candidates proficient in both Java and Python.
OR: Broadens search results by retrieving candidates who meet any of the specified criteria. For instance, "Sales OR Marketing" returns candidates with experience in either sales or marketing.
NOT: Excludes certain terms from search results. For example, "Java Developer NOT Senior" filters out candidates with the term "Senior" in their job title.
Advanced Boolean Techniques:
Parentheses: Group multiple search terms and specify the order of operations. For example, "(Java OR Python) AND Developer" fetches developers proficient in either Java or Python.
Quotation Marks: Search for exact phrases. For instance, "UX Designer" within quotation marks retrieves candidates with that precise job title.
Oomple Simple Search:
Oomple Simple Search offers specific filters closely tied to candidates' Oomple profiles to refine your search. Utilize questions candidates answer upon signing up to Oomple (e.g., Roles, Platforms, Technologies, and Certifications) to narrow down your candidate pool.
NOTE: When utilizing a boolean search, you're scouring through the entirety of the candidate's Oomple profile, along with any documents (such as resumes or cover letters) they've uploaded onto Oomple. In contrast, with Simple Search, you're solely probing the candidate's Oomple profile and the information they've chosen to include.
